Immediately following a soccer injury

Striker Emma knows all too well that soccer can be a dangerous sport, especially during the tournament match between rival colleges. With tensions and stakes high during the final seconds she went for a sliding kick at the ball only to have an opponent stomp on her shin, producing a resonant crack throughout the stadium. 

After a painful ambulance ride to the local hospital, X-rays showed that she had a fracture on her leg and the impact had caused a stress fracture in her ankle to propagate. Now Emma must bear the painful process of the technicians applying a fresh cast to her leg, the pain medication only helping a tiny bit.
